Ok, even if you are not a typical 'green' kind of gal, or guy, you could be harming not only the environment, but also yourself by the skincare and cosmetics that you use. This is an excellent website called Skin Deep
It lets you browse products or search for something that you use and then see what it contains that may be damaging.
Like, I looked up Secret antiperspirant and it said this, among other things:

I have always been skeptical of using antiperspirant; i mean the way they work is by blocking your clogs..now that can't be healthy.
I am also wary of using the microwave. It just doesn't seem a natural way of cooking; and in my book anything that isn't natural isn't healthy...my friends make fun of me but i've never ever ate anything that has been microwaved :D
Hey manal, yes it is. :)
Darya,
I remember when people used to think my mom was strange because she wouldn't get a microwave, and I have always maintained that foods warmed up in the micro don't stay hot as long...
Antiperspirant...well I have a good friend who does research about the connection of aluminum in antiperspirant to Alzheimers...scary!
You are right, what is natural is best.
ROFL did i say blocking your clogs??!!! hehehe..i meant clogging your pores...opps
